Water Outage off Bartlett Plant & Boil Water Notice

Due to a major leak on a main distribution line, customers off Bartlett Plant will experience low to no water service.  Our crews are working to restore service as quickly as they can.  Once service is restored, customers from Davila, Vilas to Granger Lake will be under a boiled water notice.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  See the boil water notice below.

Boil Water Notification

Due to leak on a main distribution line off Bartlett Plant, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our public water system Bell-Milam-Falls WSC, PWS ID 0140007, to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption. This affects only Bell-Milam-Falls WSC customers off Bartlett Plant:  Davila, Vilas, to Granger Lake.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption.  The rescind notice will be issued in the same manner as this Boil Water Notice.

If you have questions regarding this matter, you may contact Robert Jekel at 1-800-826-4322.

If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
